Alvantor Screen House Tent - 4 to 15 Person Instant Pop Up Canopy Gazebo for Outdoor Camping, Patio, Backyard & Picnic - UV Protection & Bug-Free Shelter (Not Waterproof)

There were two screened tents used at a social event, the Alvantor and an Aldi tent. Everyone gravitated to the Alvantor and commented on its size and shape. I think the roundness and the 15' height definitely worked in its favor. It got A LOT of positive comments.This is very easy to set up, but as others have noted, when removing it from the storage case, it will "fly" out and take you by surprise. It includes an accompanying strap to keep it sandwiched together once folded. Just be careful when undoing the strap.One person can reasonably put up and take down, but if you have two pairs of hands, it will be much easier and faster (to take down definitely).The zippered doors are simple to operate. The zipper pulls are on both the exterior and interior of the two doors and there are two sets of zippers per door. The doors do help with keeping the bugs to a minimum. One thing to note is that if there is no breeze flowing, it can get pretty warm inside depending upon how many bodies are inside.This was set up with two 4' folding tables and some folding chairs and a couple of plastic chairs- so, 6-7 people sat comfortably (two more people could have fit, but they opted for a different "tent"). If you're only using chairs and perhaps a smaller round table, then the advertised 12 people may fit.Taking this thing down isn't too bad, HOWEVER folding it back is a bit of a challenge for one person. It has to be folded in a figure 8 shape (I have car sunshades which fold like this). The challenge is that because the ribbing is rather stiff, when folding, IT WILL fight back. This is where having an extra set of hands is very useful.Once getting it into its carrying case, it weighs about 20lbs. The tent in its case is a bit awkward to carry because it's about 3' in diameter. You can put it on your shoulder to carry. It would be nice if the carry case had a set of zippers on both ends (like the doors) instead of just one which zips from one side to the other. It would make closing the case a little simpler.It comes with tie downs and stakes which weren't needed at the time.Overall, it appears to be a great buy and the setup is great. Maybe 3 minutes at the most once you understand how it unfolds.Got the 10x10. Simple to set up. The provided stakes are junk. Replace these, especially if you plan to drive into hard dirt. Included stakes will probably be fine on softer soils. Zipper action is a little tough if you don't brace the tent a bit so one handed operation is tougher. Wasn't a strongest, but being that it is foldable like a windshield sunshade, I expected this. Its a bit floppy if you don't stake it down. Haven't tried sandbags. My only complaint is that I'd like to be able to fold it as small as it came. I'm guessing they had it twisted twice to form 3 loops. Might need 2 people to accomplish this. I had to put the back seat down to fit it in my car, which means I can take this if I have passengers in the rear. Makes packing the car for a camping trip a bit tougher as well as it goes in last so I have to leave room on top. I actually bought this one for my mom, but she had me try it out first. 10x10 gets around a standard picnic table, but with only a small amount of room to walk. I may get the 12x12 for myself in the future though packing it may be even more challenging. Both are likely to be easier to back then a typical EX-up though. This product brought a lot of compliments at the campsite for its apparent simplicity.Wonderful screen tent. I highly recommend purchasing. I have peacefully been sitting outside without looking like a maniac trying to keep flies off me. I ordered the 10x10 and it is perfect for two people and of course your fur babies. It is also super easy to open up. Just watch out when you initially open it. Great buy!**UPDATE!** - I have used this daily since receiving it and have enjoyed such wonderful peaceful evenings inside this amazing screen tent. It is soooo see through and good that my dog tried to jump through it. Luckily for me she did not damage it so it's pretty strong too. I am really amazed with my wonderful place to sit bug free and be able to enjoy dinner without flies all over the place.I have two huge chairs and ottomans and it is a pretty tight fit. If you used smaller chairs you could probably fit four and perhaps a round table or two. I wouldn't recommend you get a table with sharp corners, just so it doesn't accidentally rip it.I also have the screen tent covers and I HIGHLY recommend you purchase some if you like privacy like I do. They work great and keep nosy people from spying on you. They attach to the top and bottom for added privacy.I HIGHLY recommend you purchase a screen tent. This will be a part of my travel bag wherever I go! I love it so much. I wish I would have bought this much sooner! WONDERFUL PRODUCTS!We have flies, wasp, and bees because my neighbors have a fruit tree. Sitting in the backyard requires bug spray and a fly swatter. Not anymore. This tent is a lifesaver. I actually opened it up first and lifted it over the daybed. It is extremely light weight. You will need to anchor it down. The slightest breeze moved it. It's windy here so I won't it risk it. I will put it up away. Portable. I closed and opened it alone. That first pop when opening is serious. Remove the band and move your face and hands. Don't be afraid to make that figure 8 to fold it. My car sun shade folds fig. 8 so I had no problem folding the tent. I sprayed bug repellent right on it too. There was still room for chairs. They are going to hate me at the next family picnic. I Highly recommend.Bought this for camping, but use at home too. Bought a cheap tarp to put down under it(it doesn't come with a floor). Purchased the 10 foot size. It fit two zero-gravity recliners and a TV tray. Girls claimed the "screened in porch" while the guys fished. Kept the mosquitoes out. Only thing we didn't like was the height of the "door jam". We kept triping trying to step over it. We spent most days in it reading, sunning(when the sun was at the right angle) and working a jigsaw puzzle. Held up well so far. Good quality. Read the directions carefully to setup(spring loaded) and fold away.I like the product, fits over table and four chairs to keep the bugs out. Practical for my needs. Much lighter than I expected and therefore caution needed if there is any king of a breeze. The weights and guy ropes are a must. A word of warning - There is a bright yellow label of it which you might read when it comes out of the bag. It tells you to proceed with caution when opening as it springs into shape. They are not kidding. Keep children animals and the wife well away - I didn't - it hurts.After setting up the tent, we noticed a large flaw in one of the mesh panels. We contacted Alvantor customer services no response for 12 days then got a message saying our complaint would be passed on to the appropriate dept and still no reply after 4 weeks . Returned gazebo to Amazon who refunded us immediately . Ps it is impossible to get the gazebo back in its original packaging once it has been set up.Put this up the day it arrived, its great, would be better if there was a pole to keep the roof up, as rain pulls it down, they do a product which is available in America. if you have a garden table with umbrella, open it and it keeps the roof stable and the rain drops off, make sure you tie it down with the guide lines, and use the sand bags to keep it stable. Its a great asset to the garden, and looking forward to many bug free meals outside.This is the best ever true to its word goes up in mins brilliant love it so much so easy to go upReally pleased with the popup gazebo. It is incredibly simple to put up and I was able to do it single handed. DO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS as it does unfold quickly! The instructions for folding it back up were not so clear, but I worked it out in a matter of a couple of minutes. Again I was able to fold it back up and put it in the provided bag on my own. waiting now for a dry day to properly try it out. The key design features that made this our choice was the simplicity of erection and putting away and the fact that all sides are made of a fine mesh, allowing the air to flow through freely but keep flying insects out.Other reviewers have mention that it's not great in a shower as the centre of the roof is not supported so can fill with rain. Not yet experienced that, but will report back on that as and when! It was never our plan to use it as a rain shelter! and I do not think this was a design criteria! Strongly recommended.
