Breathable fabric results in significant temperature reduction underneath the sail, blocks up to 95% of U*V but allows cooling breezes and light to pass through for better airy and comfortable space, allows rains to pass through, so there's no pooling water.
Important: Our shade sails have curved sides to enhance pull strength and prevent drooping; this can add 1”-8” in side length. Middle-center of sail will be shorter in width due to curves. If straight sides are preferred please contact us. Read description for details. Easy to clean with water

These sails are great, they do there job and made from a decent material.Easy to hook up and saves our furniture from the sunI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! It was installed easily in a slightly complicated non-traditional application and I could not be happier with the way it cuts the broiling Texas sun and heat. I LOVE it so much, I am going to take it down (putting it elsewhere) and install a 16x20 in its place. That will give us even more relief from the sun. I was amazed when I stood in the sun and then stepped one foot to my right under the shade---I felt the difference immediately.I found that purchasing the installation hardware from HD was far cheaper than buying the 'kits' offered here. We used eyebolts, carabiners (spring snaps) that we already had and turnbuckles. It appears to be a quality product (no effects from a severe storm its first night up) and happily the tan color is a perfect blend between the paint on the house and color of nearby stone work. I find the price of this shade to be very reasonable. I will be talking these shades up to everyone I know!So far the biggest issue is the stretch factor. This stretches from 2 forces. The first is not so bad, that is the tension needed to support the sail. The second is much more powerful and needs to be considered. If you have wind, rain and like us, wind and rain. You need to be prepared for the expansion. I'd leave an extra foot at all attachments. I added turnbuckles and vinyl covered cable at each corner AFTER I realized this thing is going to S-T-R-E-T-C-H. For the costs, it is still a good value. But if you get a larger size (say more than 10 x10) you better calc. in the expansion factor for your attachment points. I was lucky and only had two hard attachments, so I could move the other two.I recommend adding an "X" support vinyl cable above and below for gusts and rain. When I did that, that seems to have solved the sagging issue. It doesn't have the cable reinforcements on the edges, but it is also much cheaper than a cable supported sail.So while I'm typing this I'm moving it up to 4 stars, because of value. We put this over our backyard patio, it replaced a wooden trellis that was torn down. We really like how it protects us from the sun, it is not waterproof, water will go through it, but we knew that and it’s not a problem for us. The way it is attached to the house makes it feels like it’s floating in the air above us, very nice. We bought the tan color which we like because we wanted it to be visually unobtrusive. Like it very much. This is the 2nd I purchased. The first lasted about 4 years which I think is fair for something out in the sun and weather year round. I would recommend for you outdoor areas.works perfectly! Hooked bungee coard to the corners and put it up in my patio. I've had some strong winds, it withstands the wind and rain and still looks great, and my patio is much cooler and usable!Update- see pictures- I found an easy way to secure a bungee cord and those places where there isn't a grommet. Slip a nail into the material and put the bungie hook behind it. works great you don't have to put grommets or order to pay somebody to sew a strap. I've had this on mine in 12 spots and some pretty strong winds for 6 months and hasn't torn or started to come apart, works great, hope this helps.5 Star Deal!!! Its does what a sun sail/shade does, cuts down the heat load on an area. Easy to install. This is the best part..my first one developed a tear and they replaced it with no problem, even shipping!! Impressive. I said If I get another one to extend my coverage area I'm getting it from TANG Sunshades Depot!!! So I ordered the 24x24 and it works great saving our tootsies from frying!!! Best ever!!!!
